Tenderwell is the perfect database to find contract opportunities. It offers excellent functionality and instant access to tenders from governments, tenders from multilateral and multinational institutions, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and eProcurement offers from almost 200 countries, all updated on a daily basis.
"Сontract opportunities" is a term that refers to a formal process by which government entities of all levels, including local, state, national, and multinational, invite private sector businesses to bid on projects and/or services that the public sector needs.
Contract opportunities can encompass a wide range of industries, including security, healthcare, construction, agriculture, engineering, architecture, information technology, and much more.
When governments publish these contract opportunities, the goal is to:
⦾Foster transparency
⦾Ensure value for money
⦾Encourage competition
In such a way, the public’s money is used efficiently and in a fair manner. Private sector businesses are thus encouraged to apply for these contract opportunities by submitting proposals that offer a competitive price and demonstrate their capabilities of fulfilling the project and/or provide the service that the government needs.
Tenderwell is your gateway to all contract opportunities. Let’s discover the peculiarities of this unique database.
"Our mission is to empower businesses by providing a holistic platform for tender and procurement needs." (Luc Vocks, CEO Tenderwell.)

How many tender stages are there?
If you’re new to the way that contract opportunities work, they generally follow a set format, although you should be sure to click on any potentially suitable tender to discover the exact requirements from that funding source. Generally speaking, tenders (published invitations for government contract opportunities) work like this:
✅The government agency or multilateral organization publishes a tender (a public invitation to the private sector to provide a service and/or material goods).
✅The tender is considered “open” for the set period of time in which the funding source is accepting bids on/proposals for the contract opportunity.
✅Once the bidding/proposal deadline has been reached, the funding source will use a predetermined allotment of time to analyze the bids they have received. This stage of the tender process is sometimes known as “closed.”
✅In many cases, the funding source will create a shortlist of organizations that they believe have a reasonable chance of winning the contract opportunity. This stage of the tender process is sometimes known as “shortlisted.”
✅Once the funding source has determined the winner of the bidding process, the organization with the winning bid will be contacted and work on implementing the contract will begin. This final stage of the tender process is known as “awarded.”
If you registered on Tenderwell, you’ll be able to search through all published contract opportunities and sort them by stage (i.e. open, closed and awarded).
Although government contract opportunities that have passed the “open” stage will no longer be accepting bids/proposals, analyzing previously shortlisted or awarded contracts can provide invaluable research for how to craft a winning bid/proposal from that funding source.
