City of London Corporation & City of London Police Occupational Health Physician Services

AI Summary

The City of London Corporation and the City of London Police are seeking a qualified Occupational Health Physician (OHP) to provide clinical services at a single site across the United Kingdom. The service will require one day per week for 45 weeks of the year for the Corporation and an additional 17 days for the Police to accommodate recruitment medicals and fitness‑to‑work meetings, bringing the total to roughly 90 days of physician time annually. Each scheduled day the clinician will see four to five referred clients, or up to five recruitment candidates, ensuring consistent healthcare support for employees and prospective officers. The contracting entity is pleased to accept delivery by a single OHP, two separate physicians, or a senior‑level physician supervising an Associate of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine, provided the designated physician remains largely unchanged throughout the programme.

To maintain continuity and meet the specialised needs of both organisations, the contract requires a single named OHP, with a maximum of two personnel changes per year. The engagement will span an initial two‑year term, potentially extended for two additional years following a performance review. All OHPs must hold either Associate or Member status of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine, be subject to police vetting, and demonstrate a continuous three‑year period of residency within the United Kingdom immediately preceding the start of duties. This combination of clinical expertise, administrative steadiness, and pertinent vetting standards ensures a reliable occupational health partnership for the City of London and its police force.
