Climate Action Support 2026-2027

AI Summary

The Highlands and Islands Enterprise seeks a qualified contractor to design and deliver a Climate Action Support programme commencing in November 2026. The programme will provide a structured, practical framework that enables businesses, social enterprises, community organisations, charities and other third‑sector groups across the Highlands and Islands to assess their greenhouse‑gas emissions, identify viable decarbonisation measures, analyse climate risks and adaptation needs, and strengthen organisational resilience through the development of Climate Action Plans.

The service will be delivered over an initial twelve‑month period, with the option for the HIE to extend the contract for an additional six months, allowing continuity and scalability of the programme. Participants will receive tailored guidance, tools, and stakeholder engagement strategies that reflect both the unique environmental context of the region and the diverse operational profiles of the organisations involved. The contractor will be required to manage the programme delivery, coordinate a multidisciplinary team, and produce insights, reporting and legacy outcomes that demonstrate measurable impact and partnership value.

The project requires that the delivery methodology be tailored to participant and regional needs, in compliance with recognized climate and sustainability standards.
