Corrigendum-IT Hardware Reseller Framework
AI Summary
National Grid is establishing a Hardware Reseller Framework to secure a strategic, value‑driven route to market for the procurement of IT hardware and related services across its UK and US operations. The framework will cover a broad spectrum of requirements including network infrastructure, cyber‑security equipment, servers, device licensing, warranty and lifecycle management, as well as technical support and value‑added services that support the company’s evolving technology estate.
The procurement will be conducted as a multi‑stage competitive process under PA23, beginning with pre‑qualification requirements and a minimum‑requirements assessment, followed by detailed qualification, shortlisting for invitation to tender, evaluation, negotiation and down‑selection, and ultimately contract award. A limited number of reseller partners will be appointed to supply leading OEM technologies and deliver competitive commercial offerings that provide supply‑chain resilience, asset visibility, governance, sustainability benefits and scalable support across National Grid’s assets. Separate UK and US framework agreements will be awarded, and the contract will initially run for three years with potential successive two‑year extensions, up to a maximum of eight years at National Grid’s discretion.
All supplied IT hardware must meet relevant OEM specifications and comply with National Grid’s cybersecurity and lifecycle management standards.
Description
A limited number of reseller partners will be appointed to supply leading OEM technologies and deliver competitive commercial offerings, supply chain resilience, asset visibility, governance, sustainability benefits, and scalable support for National Grid's evolving technology estate.
This procurement is being conducted as a multi-stage competitive process under PA23 and is expected to comprise: (1) pre-requisites for participation and minimum requirements assessment (Phase 1) , (2) detailed qualification, (3) shortlisting for the Invitation to Tender (RFP) stage, (4) tender evaluation, (5) negotiation and/or down-selection of bidders, and (6) contract award. National Grid reserves the right to refine evaluation criteria and methodologies during the procurement process in accordance with the Procurement Act 2023 and the principles set out within the procurement documentation.
Whilst the procurement is being managed as a single exercise covering both UK and US requirements, any resulting arrangements will be awarded through separate UK and US framework agreements. The indicative value of the US opportunity is approximately an additional £100 million over the maximum eight-year term.
