Corrigendum-Provision of Housing Related Services for Young People

AI Summary

Bridgend County Borough Council will procure a comprehensive range of housing‑related services for young people aged 16 to 25 across the community of Bridgend and the Neath Port Talbot area. The project seeks two separate contractual deliveries, each managed as a distinct lot, and is designed to expand and enhance existing support pathways for individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, ensuring they receive timely, specialist assistance in a stable environment. The Council prioritises the participation of small and medium‑sized enterprises, voluntary, community and social enterprises, and other local providers who can offer the required level of care and expertise.

Lot 1 will cover supported accommodation for 16‑ and 17‑year‑olds, alongside mediation and advocacy services for the 16‑to‑25 age group. Lot 2 will deliver supported accommodation for 18‑ to 21‑year‑olds, step‑down accommodation for the same age cohort, and floating support for 16‑ to 21‑year‑olds. These services will be integrated with existing provision, amplifying the Council’s efforts to secure safe, independent homes for young people in line with the Housing Support Grant vision of eliminating homelessness throughout Wales.

The contract will run for three years from 1 December 2026, with an option to extend by up to two years, and will be implemented under a light‑touch procurement regime. All providers must meet the relevant statutory frameworks, specifically the Housing (Wales) Act 2014, the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014, and the Well‑being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015.
