Corrigendum-TfL Ecology Support Services Framework

AI Summary

Transport for London seeks to establish a multi‑supplier framework agreement for the delivery of ecological and arboricultural survey and advisory services across its railway infrastructure, including both known and potential areas of rare and protected species and statutory or non‑statutory designated sites such as Sites of Special Scientific Interest and Sites of Importance for Nature Conservation. The framework aims to support TfL’s commitment to biodiversity management and ecological compliance throughout its transport network.

The contracted services encompass a broad range of ecological and arboricultural activities. Supplied parties will conduct preliminary ecological appraisals, biodiversity baseline surveys incorporating statutory biodiversity metrics and Biodiversity Net Gain statements, protected species and habitat surveys, invasive and injurious species surveys, Ecological Clerk of Works duties, and Ecological Impact Assessments. Additionally, suppliers will perform arboricultural feasibility surveys, impact assessments and method statements in accordance with BS 5837:2012 or the latest equivalent standard, secure protected species licences on TfL’s behalf, and provide survey data in GIS‑compatible formats for return to both TfL and Greenspace Information for Greater London (GiGL). Access to, and ownership of, all inspection and ecological data collected must be granted to TfL.

Suppliers must possess appropriate professional memberships such as CIEEM and the Arboricultural Association, hold required protected species licences, and employ staff with London Underground certifications, including the Sentinel Card with ICI‑LUL endorsement, for work within the track environment.
