AI Summary
Derbyshire County Council is seeking to secure professional services that will deliver a comprehensive Children and Young People Social Prescribing and Youth Outreach programme focused on mental health and wellbeing across the county (excluding Derby City). The procurement will provide integrated support and outreach activities designed to strengthen mental health outcomes for children and young people within the local area, drawing upon current evidence‑based practice and community partnership. The council plans an initial service period of three years, commencing 1 April 2027, with the option to extend for two additional twelve‑month terms.
To inform the final specification, the council will host a preliminary market engagement event on 18 March 2026, held in person at the Parkwood Centre in Alfreton. This session will review survey findings shared earlier in February, present an overview of potential service models, and allow prospective partners to discuss detailed considerations and operational questions. Invitations to attend are managed via the council’s procurement channel, and the event is intended to create a transparent dialogue that will shape the forthcoming formal procurement notices.
The procurement will be open to lead providers or consortia of health and social work specialists who can demonstrate the capacity to deliver the agreed services across the Derbyshire footprint, excluding Derby City. The contract will cover health and social work related services under the CPV classifications 85100000 and 85300000, and will be advertised in the formal market within the United Kingdom. Successful providers will be required to employ nationally recognised best practice standards to ensure consistent, high‑quality outcomes for all children and young people served.
