Framework Agreement for Servers, Storage, High Performance Computing & Managed Infrastructure
AI Summary
The Southern Universities Procurement Consortium is preparing a new Framework Agreement for Servers, Storage, High‑Performance Computing and Managed Infrastructure that will replace two existing national agreements. The framework, intended to run for an initial two‑year term with optional extensions up to four years, will allow member institutions to source a range of compute, storage and research platforms as well as associated implementation, lifecycle and support services. It is designed to support teaching, learning, research, enterprise IT and hybrid‑cloud architectures while promoting secure and sustainable digital infrastructures.
Under the new agreement the procurement will be organised into four distinct lots: commodity servers and components, enterprise infrastructure and storage solutions, high‑performance computing and research compute solutions, and managed infrastructure and consumption services. Off‑the‑shelf hardware, storage arrays, supercomputing nodes, as well as managed and hosted service offerings will all be covered, enabling members to select either owned or serviced infrastructure. The framework will enable the procurement of infrastructure delivered as a service, incorporating both on‑premise and hosted solutions.
