IA3702 - Book Parcels and Maths games for Children in care
AI Summary
Staffordshire County Council is procuring a service to deliver educational book and maths‑game parcels to children in care identified through the county’s virtual schools. The contract requires the provider to send seven colour‑coded parcels annually, including six monthly deliveries over a fixed six‑month period and a Christmas bonus parcel from the following year onward, to support learning and help narrow achievement gaps. Each parcel is to contain high‑quality books, maths games, stationery and other learning materials that are age‑appropriate, and the supplier must explain the rationale for the items selected.
The parcels must be tailored to eight school‑year groups ranging from Early Years Foundation Stage/Reception to Year 7, with flexibility to adjust contents for children working at different levels. Packaging must be robust enough for postal transport, child‑friendly, and indistinguishable by cohort, yet include a distinct identifier agreed with the Council so that teachers and carers can recognise the package. All parcels must be child‑friendly, robust, and include distinct identification for teachers and carers.
