New SCADA System Project

AI Summary

The Buyer, BMMA (presumably an entity responsible for wastewater management), seeks a qualified contractor to supply and install a new Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. This project encompasses the provision of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) control panels and Operator Interface Terminals. These components will be installed at BMMA's wastewater plants and eight pump stations, utilizing both cellular and hardwire communication methods for data transmission.

The SCADA system installation requires the contractor to finalize the design of control panels according to contract specifications. Installation and wiring services are also necessary, connecting the new system to both existing and new devices within the wastewater infrastructure. Bidders must demonstrate their qualifications by submitting documentation as outlined in Article 3 of the Instructions to Bidders.

The project is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, mandating minimum salaries and wages for all workers involved in the installation process. The successful bidder will be required to execute an Agreement and furnish Performance and Payment Bonds on provided forms. Evidence of insurance coverage as per the Contract Documents is also mandatory.
