Provision of Insurance Brokerage and related Services to Papworth Trust
AI Summary
Papworth Trust seeks a single provider to deliver comprehensive insurance brokerage and ancillary services covering a broad spectrum of non‑life risks, including property damage, business interruption, various forms of liability, combined business coverage, property owner liability, and specialist lines such as all‑risks, computer, contract work, group personal accident and employment practices liability. The selected supplier will act as the primary risk adviser, insurer liaison, and claims manager for these attributes, ensuring that the Trust’s specific risk exposure is appropriately identified, insured, and monitored.
The procurement calls for a skilled, multidisciplinary service team that can offer the Trust a range of appropriate insurers, craft tailor‑made cover options, and manage the full lifecycle of insurance relationships. Provider capability will be gauged on their ability to facilitate client‑relationship management, efficient claims handling, underwriting support, and proactive risk management, as well as to deliver high‑quality service to the Trust and any third‑party contractors utilised. Provider financial soundness and the capacity to deploy insurers rated ‘A–’ or better by Standard & Poor’s, AM Best, or an equivalent reputable credit agency are mandatory prerequisites. The contract will be executed in the UK, with a renewal pathway that may extend the agreement for up to five years based on performance, service quality and cost, and the success of the bid will be judged on a weighted assessment of quality (60 %) and cost (40 %). The successful supplier must use insurers with a minimum rating of “A–” from Standard & Poor's, “A–” from AM Best or an equivalent independently rated credit agency.
