Reinsurance of the Industrial All Risks Insurance of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines

AI Summary

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) is inviting qualified Philippine‑based entities to provide reinsurance for the Industrial All Risks line of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines, covering sabotage, terrorism, and submarine cable exposures. The contract will cover the period from 31 January 2027 to 30 January 2028 and will be under the GSIS reinsurance framework. The procurement seeks a specialized partner capable of managing a large, complex portfolio with stringent underwriting criteria and a proven record in handling high‑value industrial risk reinsurance.

The industrial all risks policy carries a gross sum insured of approximately USD 4.74 billion, with a retention of USD 1.42 billion and a facultative portion of USD 3.32 billion. The gross premium for the year is about USD 14.86 million, of which the facultative reinsurance premium—USD 10.40 million—constitutes the contractual consideration. Eligible bidders must demonstrate in the last five years completion of contracts whose adjusted value is at least half of the proposed premium or a combination of contracts meeting a similar threshold. Bidders will be evaluated under the Lowest Calculated and Responsive Bid criterion, with emphasis on eligibility and technical compliance as defined by the procurement documents.

All proposals must satisfy the GSIS technical specifications for industrial all‑risks reinsurance and adhere to the applicable actuarial and underwriting standards detailed in the bidding documents.
