Service Maintenance and Inspection Agreement including Alarm Monitoring

The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada invite proposals for a Service Maintenance and Inspection Agreement that encompasses alarm monitoring, CCTV surveillance, and access‑control system support. The contractor will perform monitoring, upgrades, and repairs of the security infrastructure—including barrier optical turnstiles—at the Ottawa facilities located at 125 Zaida Eddy Private. An uninterrupted, 24‑hour/day, 365‑day/year service schedule, including statutory holidays, will be required to ensure the integrity and operational readiness of the building’s security systems.

The scope of work extends to routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and on‑call service for alarm, CCTV, and access‑control equipment, as well as troubleshooting and corrective actions for any system faults. The engagement covers all office and basement spaces, with the contractor expected to coordinate closely with building operations to minimize disruptions while maintaining full security coverage throughout the contract period from February 1 2026 to January 31 2031.

The agreement requires continuous 24‑hour monitoring and maintenance of the alarm and surveillance systems in accordance with Canadian alarm system standards.
