Supply and delivery of Mechanical Planter/Corn Seeder for CY 2026 Farm Mechanization of Corn Program for distribution to qualified farmers organization regionwide to hasten and improve planting activities
AI Summary
The Department of Agriculture Region III is procuring two units of mechanical planter, also known as corn seeders, to strengthen the Farm Mechanization of Corn Program for the 2026 calendar year. The equipment will be delivered to the ROS Tarlac site in October 2026 and subsequently distributed to qualified farmer organizations throughout the region to accelerate and improve corn planting operations. The planters are intended for use with four‑wheel tractors and are designed to enhance field productivity and uniformity in corn sowing.
Each planter must be PTO‑powered and achieve a minimum field efficiency of 55 % with an actual field capacity of at least 1.5 ha per hour. Seed delivery should not fall below 15 kg per ha, with hill spacing of 15–30 cm and row spacing 60–80 cm. The unit must feature a gravity hill‑drop mechanism, four seed hoppers of 10 kg capacity each, two fertilizer hoppers of 40 kg capacity each, and a stainless‑steel fertilizer bin, all mounted on a Category II three‑point linkage. Additional requirements include a one‑year warranty, conformity with PNS/BAFS/PAES 192:2024, PAES 122:2001, availability of spare parts, and provision of training, operation manuals, and service centers in the region. The equipment must comply with the specified PNS/BAFS/PAES technical standards.
