This service encompasses the delivery of the UK Theory Test, which comprises Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ) and a Hazard Perception Test (HPT). Additionally, the service will include testing for Approved Driving Instructors (ADI), Emergency Response Service (ERS) personnel, and specific test types for Northern Ireland.
The Theory Test Services must be capable of handling a high volume of tests, approximately 3.6 million annually. Given the statutory nature of the service, stringent security measures are essential to prevent cheating and maintain test integrity. The DVSA is currently engaged in Early Market Engagement (EME) to gather input from potential suppliers, indicating that the procurement process is in its initial stages.
