RFI - Privacy and AI Governance Platform
AI Summary
The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) is requesting information on mature privacy and AI governance platforms that can underpin the organisation’s operational delivery of privacy and responsible AI governance across the BBC Group. The current governance framework covers a range of activities, including Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Transfer Risk Assessments (TRAs/TIAs), AI Risk Assessments, risk acceptance procedures, Records of Processing Activities (RoPA), case management, and governance reporting. These functions are presently supported through a mix of manual processes and existing tools and the BBC seeks to investigate whether a modern, integrated governance platform could improve the efficiency, consistency and overall maturity of these processes.
The platform being sought must support the full lifecycle of privacy and AI risk management—from risk identification and assessment through to documentation and reporting—while facilitating seamless case management and traceability of compliance activities. It should be capable of coordinating data protection activities across the Group’s diverse business units, enabling consolidated reporting to meet internal and regulatory obligations. By replacing fragmented manual workflows with a unified solution, the BBC anticipates a more streamlined and auditable governance environment that can adapt to evolving regulatory demands and emerging AI technologies.
